Reproductive Justice Activists

"I love that as an RJ activist, I regularly hear the experience and perspective of ACCESS volunteers that provide Healthline services and practical support to California women. These inspiring stories motivate me every day and shape the way I approach politics."
Barby, RJ Activist Volunteer.

How We Work:
The Reproductive Justice (RJ) Activist volunteers work with the Policy Associate and the Program Manager to organize and rally behind ACCESS campaigns and policy actions on current reproductive justice and sexual health/rights issues. The RJ Activists will be working with ACCESS staff to conduct administrative, legislative, media and grassroots advocacy, relaying the everyday experiences and barriers women and girls face to administrators, policymakers and voters.

On-going RJ Actions:
Gather information and research on campaign issues
Track relevant legislation and advocacy efforts
Make calls and/or visits to local and state legislators
Create educational and policy advocacy materials
Write letters to the editor/ articles for ACCESS Voices
Work with staff and board members to mobilize ACCESS constituents

Here is what we want from you:
Participate in all phone/ online advocacy actions and 3 in-person actions/year
Participate in conference calls/ in-person meetings with other Activists and the Policy Associate
Recruit at least 5 additional people to participate in actions.
